Given the tragic disappearance and murder of Sarah Everard and the brutal scenes from Clapham Common last month, I’d like to find out more about women’s experiences of street based crime here in Dorset.
Everyone in Dorset should be able to go about their business feeling safe and secure. However, my conversations with women tell me that this just isn’t the case.
I’m determined to change the narrative around crimes against women whether it happens behind closed doors or on our streets – it is never the victim’s fault.
My experience has taught me that the needs and experiences of victims comes first when it comes to crime and policing.
I believe it is a right to feel safe and be safe in Dorset’s neighbourhoods and no-one should need to fear for themselves or their families.
Please fill in this quick survey and make your voice heard on this important issue.
With best wishes,
